Faith in Action, one of TRPIL’s services, needs caring volunteers to assist senior citizens or individuals with disabilities to remain independent. Some needs are:

• An Avella woman needs assistance with rides to Washington for dialysis and/or rides home several times per week. Even driving one day or one way would help.
• A Cherry Valley/Burgettstown-area visually impaired, senior woman needs someone to visit weekly and read the Bible and/or go shopping with her.
• A Charleroi senior woman needs someone to visit weekly and possibly shop for her once in a while.
• A
• Monongahela senior woman needs assistance with various chores and minor repairs around her home.
• Escorts and drivers are needed for seniors throughout the county on an as-needed, on-call basis to go to church, appointments and shopping.
• Do you like cutting grass, mulching and other outside work in spring and summer? Would you be willing to donate some time to help a senior or an individual with a disability with lawn care? Call to find out how you can help.
