Barbara Anne Eskay
Barbara Anne Eskay, 64, of McDonald, Mt. Pleasant Township, died Saturday, March 24, 2018, in her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born October 1, 1953, in Crafton, a daughter of Margaret Capes Burkhart and the late Gilbert Blair Burkhart.
She was a member of St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, which was very important to her. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and friend. She was a person of deep faith, who placed others before her always – whether as a nurse, when crocheting a gift for those she loved or lending a listening ear, card or prayer to those in need. Her smile lit up a room, and she was never lacking in them, through thick and thin. And while she loved the beach and the lake, her favorite place was always with her family and those she held dear. Her family has never known a stronger, more determined or beautiful person and will continue to honor her memory every day.
Surviving are her husband of 35 years, John Eskay; children Michael (Chelsey) Eskay of Pittsburgh and Krista Eskay of Pittsburgh; grandson Gavin Andrew Eskay; brothers and sisters Blair (Melinda) Burkhart of Avella, Patty (Bob) Lucas of Avella, Karen (Tom) Birdsall of Avella, Sandy (Buzz) Haught of Avella and Gil (O) Burkhart of Washington. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Burkhart.
