Edna Margaret Johnson, 91, of Washington, died Saturday March 17, 2018, in Presbyterian SeniorCare Southmont, Washington.

She was born July 13, 1926, in Eighty Four, formerly known as Vanceville, a daughter of the late Roy J. and Corinne Riddle Rankin.

Mrs. Johnson attended Trinity Area School District, graduating in 1944. She was employed at Washington County Conservation Office, Harper Feed Mill and G.C. Murphy in Washington. She later co-owned Johnson’s Amoco Service Station, Laboratory, with her husband for several years until 1986.

She was a longtime member of Lone Pine Christian Church and a member of Redd’s Run Homemakers Club.

On July 28, 1946, she married Leeman H. Johnson, who died December 30, 2011.

She is survived by a son, Richard Howard (Debbie) Johnson of Goldfield, Nev., a daughter-in-law, Maureen Johnson of Washington; a brother, Joseph A. (Shirley) Rankin of Washington; four grandchildren, Tina (Eddie) Bainer, Dr. Kent (Teresa) Johnson, Katie (Matt) Krocsko and Kelly (Josh) Conner, all of Washington; 13 great-grandchildren, Michael and Jonathan Krocsko, Taylor, Morgan, Kyle and Tyler Bainer, Brianna, Isabella and Nicholas Johnson and Aaron, Levi, Chloe and Colt Conner; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are two sons, William Roy Johnson and Robert Leeman Johnson; a sister, Louise Walden; and a brother and two sisters who died in infancy.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 21, with the Rev. John Owen officiating. Interment will follow in Pigeon Creek Cemetery, Somerset Township.

The family suggests memorial contributions to Lone Pine Volunteer Fire Department or Lone Pine Christian Church.
