Judge’s son struck, killed in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Pittsburgh police are investigating the death of a northeastern Pennsylvania judge’s son who was hit by a car.

Investigators say 22-year-old Penn State student Cody Barrasse was struck early Saturday in the city’s Oakland neighborhood. Barrasse is the son of Lackawanna County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael Barrasse.

Cody Barrasse was pronounced dead Sunday morning.

Authorities say the driver initially left the scene but then called police.

The incident is under investigation.
