Canonsburg native Theodore “Teddy” J. Mathis III graduated from the City of Pittsburgh Police Academy at a ceremony held March 15 in the Tom Foerster Hall of CCAC’s Northside campus, after seven months of training. The 2008 Canon-McMillan High School graduate received an undergraduate degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2013 and a master’s degree in criminology in 2015 from California University of Pennsylvania. Mathis and wife Kendra reside in Pittsburgh. He is the son of Theodore and Darlene Mathis of Canonsburg.
