Helen T. Zuraw, 93, formerly of Donora, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, in Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Township, where she was a resident since December 2005.

She was born October 15, 1919, in Donora, a daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Kocis Majoris.

Mrs. Zuraw was a member of St. Dominic Woman’s Guild, First Catholic Slovak Union and Jednota.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Alexander Zuraw in 1975; a daughter, Donna Minor on April 20, 2012; siblings Joseph, Louis, John, Margaret and Agnes Majoris, Elizabeth Lutheran, Anne Kopanic, Mary Repasky and Veronica Datovech; and infant grandson Lon Allen Minor.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Laraine and Ronald McGinnis of Washington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Gregory and Wendy Zuraw of North Charleroi and Daniel and Terri Zuraw of Belle Vernon; grandchildren Timothy Minor, Kristin Eckenrode, Marci Zelinski, Samantha Chain, Brandon Zuraw, Steffani Zuraw and Kathi Zuraw; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in Anthony L. Massafra Funeral Home and Cremation Service Inc., 40 Second Street Extension, Donora 15033 (724-379-6900). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 17, in Our Lady of the Valley Church, Donora, with the Rev. Pierre Falkenhan celebrating. Interment will follow in St. Dominic Cemetery, Donora. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Valley Church or Washington County Health Center Activities Department.
