Burgettstown Community Library’s Easter Egg Hunt will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Friday. The event is open to pre-k through third grade. Contact the library to register at 724-947-9780.
Keystone State Park’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday for children ages 1-10. Registration begins at 10. Cost is $5 per child or $10 per family. Proceeds will be used for park projects by Friends of Keystone State Park.
Easter Bunny pet pictures will be available at Petco at the Highlands, Triadelphia, W.Va., from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday. For a donation, pet owners will instantly receive a photo of their pet. All animals must be on a leash or in a carrier. Proceeds benefit Webark Estates, a local no-kill recommended organization. For information, call 304-845-0855.
St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Monongahela, will hold an Easter egg hunt and Easter basket blessing Saturday at Parish Park. The egg hunt will begin at 11:30 a.m., and is for children ages 6 and younger. The blessing of Easter baskets will begin at noon in the Pavilion. In case of inclement weather, the hunt and basket blessing will be held in Madonna School cafeteria at the above times.
Chartiers Township will hold an Easter Egg Hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday for township residents ages 1-11. The event will be held in the Allison Parkette Pavilion.
At Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church, 480 Route 519, Eighty Four, an Easter event will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, featuring crafts, cookie decorating and egg dyeing. For information, call 724-222-7488.
Polish Falcons Heritage Foundation (PFHF) will hold its second annual Dyngus Day celebration from noon to 8 p.m. April 2, rain or shine, at Polish Falcons of America Nest 8, 60 S. 18th St., Pittsburgh. The event will feature polka music by The Trel-Tones and a folk dance performance at 6:30 p.m., cornhole and children’s activities. Washington County Department of Parks & Recreation will hold a Flight of the Timberdoodle event at 7:30 p.m. April 3,at Mingo Creek County Park, Shelter 4, to see the American Woodcock. Westmoreland Yough Trail Chapter of the Regional Trail Corporation will hold its seventh annual 5K/10K Run and 2-Mile Fun Walk May 12. The event will start at the Arthur H. King parking lot. The 10K Run will begin at 9 a.m. and the 5K Run at 9:05. The walk will begin at the King parking lot at 9 a.m. and proceed north on the Yough River Trail 1 Mile out and back. Prices are as follows: 5K or 10K Run, $20; Fun Walk, $15; Children age 10 and under are $10. Every participant who registers by April 12 receives a short-sleeved T-shirt.
