Vonn Maurice Calloway, 56, of Washington, passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2018, in Washington Hospital.
He was born in Pittsburgh to the late Phillip “Butch” Curtis Jones Sr. and Jean Calloway Jones of Pittsburgh, December 10, 1961.
Vonn attended Westinghouse High School and was a professional cook and drummer. Drumming was a huge love of his life, and he enjoyed telling jokes and spending time with his family who he loved.
In addition to his father, Vonn is predeceased by son Brandon Davis and brother Phillip Curtis Jones Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dawn M. Calloway of Washington; mother Jean Calloway Jones; nine children, De’Juan M. Davis, Thomas D. Hairston, Teaira D. Hairston, Aiyana C. Hairston and Kalani A. Calloway, all of Washington, Giavonni R. Calloway of Pittsburgh, Angela M. Calloway of Monessen, Je’Vone N. Hairston of Houston and Deon M. Calloway of Pittsburgh; siblings Rhonda M. Calloway and Duane B. Thomas of Marianna; niece Shalyn Calloway of Pittsburgh; nephews Romarias Harp of Atlanta, Ga., Jacob Daniels of California and Brock Thomas of Mariana; uncle Norman (Zenola) Calloway of Pittsburgh; and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Saturday, April 21, in Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 116 Greenside Avenue 120, Canonsburg.
