Helen Hazuga Kurowski, 87, of Eighty Four, died Tuesday evening, April 17, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born October 11, 1930, in Ellsworth, a daughter of John and Mary Pavlicin Hazuga.

Mrs. Kurowski was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish.

Surviving are her husband, Edward Kurowski; three daughters, Nancy Kurowski (Brady Byrd) of Baldwin Township, Vivian Kurowski (Bob Fadick) of Buda, Texas, and Renee McCrea (James) of Pittsburgh; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the last of her immediate family.

Deceased are her brothers, John and Steve Hazuga and sisters, Margaret Lenhart, Mary Lou Davis, Sophie Rusilko, Sue Yodski, Irene Mars and Anna Dean.

Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday in Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home Inc., 809 Main Street, Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, where a prayer service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at noon in St. Katharine Drexel, Bentleyville Campus (formerly Ave Maria), 126 Church Street, Bentleyville, with the Rev. Jeremy J. Mohler, parochial vicar, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Luke Cemetery, Bentleyville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mrs. Kurowski’s name may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children, Attn: Office of Development, 2900 North Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, FL 33607, or Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, 4401 Penn Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
