Joylene Ann Spiller Markish
Joylene Ann Spiller Markish, 78, of Avella, died Sunday, April 22, 2018, in Allegheny General Hospital, after a brief illness.
She was born April 17, 1940, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late James Spiller and Armida Gibellino Martorana.
She graduated from Canonsburg High School in 1957, and attended Avella Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A caregiver and homemaker for many people, she was the owner of the former End O’ Town Restaurant and Tasty Freeze in Hickory.
Surviving are two daughters, Pamela (James) Nafziger of Salem, S.C., and Tracey (Eric) Fasnacht of McDonald; son Bernard (Anita) Guidos of BelAir, Md.; 10 grandchildren, Stacey Mayle, Jessica Bezusko, Nicole Erickson, Laura Wagner, Allison Nafziger, Natalie Carter, Chelsey Engel, Catherine Gregg, Nathaniel Hundley and Sarah Lynch; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her only brother, James Spiller.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Route 50, Cecil, where a service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 26, with the Rev. Christopher Mathewson officiating.
Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
