An Allegheny County man was arraigned Monday on charges including robbery and aggravated assault for allegedly slashing a woman after forcing his way into her New Eagle home earlier this year and then threatening her and her husband if they told police.

Eric Keith Rager, 31, of Monroeville, reportedly went to the home of Jamie and James Pasinski at 912 Birch Ave. Feb. 24, according to a complaint filed by Monongahela police with District Judge Mark Wilson.

Jamie Pasinski said Rager came to her home and asked to borrow $20. She told police that Rager had done work for her in the past. She told police she had her purse in her hand when she went to the front door. She reached inside for the money, and Rager allegedly pushed open the door, reaching for the purse.

Jamie Pasinski told police that she kicked him back and forced him out the door. After she kicked him, he allegedly pulled out what she thought was a switchblade and stabbed her several times in the left leg.

After he stabbed her, she backed off into the house with Rager coming at her, police said. Rager reportedly lunged at her and punched her in the chest, causing her to fall to the ground.

James Pasinski told police that her heard his wife calling for help and came running down the stairs. Pasinski said he saw Rager standing over his wife, holding a knife in his hand. He then chased Rager out of the house and through the yard, he told police.

Jamie Pasinski received treatment from a doctor on Pittsburgh’s South Side for her injuries.

The Pasinskis went to the city police station March 19 to report the incident. Jamie Pasinski told police she waited because of the threats allegedly made by Rager.

Rager reportedly showed up at their home at 3:30 a.m. March 13 and then just after 11 p.m. that same day. He reportedly threatened them if they went to police to report the attack. When police arrived at the home, Rager was gone.

Rager was arraigned before Wilson on two counts of robbery, attempted robbery, aggravated assault, simple assault, intimidation of witnesses or victims, harassment and disorderly conduct. He was placed in the Washington County jail on $100,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 30 before Wilson.
