Two women have been charged following a street fight in which a baby was dropped and suffered a skull fracture last month.

The baby’s grandmother, Tiffany Amber Heasley, 37, of 224 Lincoln Terrace, Washington, and Debbie Collins, 60, of 221 Lincoln Terrace, Washington, were each charged by Washington police with recklessly endangering another person and disorderly conduct.

Police said when they arrived in the 200 block of Lincoln Terrace, where the fight occurred, Heasley, her 16-year-old daughter, Kierra Heasley, and her 3-month-old grandson had left for the hospital.

Police said the fight started when Kierra allegedly cursed at Collins and struck her in the face, breaking her glasses. Collins and her daughter, Yohnda Collins, 34, then both allegedly struck Kierra, according to the criminal complaint.

Police said both of the Collins and other witnesses told them Tiffany Heasley had been holding the baby during the fight and she “dropped the child,” the complaint said.

The child was flown to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, and “is expected to make a full recovery,” the complaint said.

Yohnda Collins, of 221 Lincoln Terrace, was also charged with disorderly conduct. It is unknown if Kierra Heasley, a minor, has been charged.
