James Franklin Hall

James Franklin Hall, 93, of Mandeville, La., formerly of Marianna, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 11, 2018.

He was born November 15, 1924, in Marianna, a son of the late Franklin and Anna Garmac Hall.

Mr. Hall served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a 70-year member of American Legion Steele-Lillie Post 744, Marianna.

He was a retired coal miner, working his entire career at Bethlehem Mines Mine No. 58, and was a member of United Mine Workers of America.

Mr. Hall was an avid gardener and also enjoyed golf, football and hunting.

Surviving are his daughter, Carol (Art) Bonneval of Mandeville; three granddaughters, Candace (Stewart) Townsend of Houston, Texas, Lauren Bonneval of New Orleans, La., and Haley Bonneval of Chicago, Ill.; and his great-granddaughter, Murphy Townsend.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Catherine, and devoted daughter, Susan Hall.

A memorial service and interment will be planned for a future date in Marianna.
