Thanks for the memories! I have never lived in Washington – always in Greene County – but I really enjoyed your June 28 article on the former YWCA building. In the mid-1960s, the Pennsylvania State Grange statewide convention was held in that building. As a high school student at the time, I remember being impressed with the elegance of that building. I still remember sitting in that huge room and thinking how nice it was!

More recently, my brother attended his West Greene High School reunion there, and also enjoyed the memories of being there so long ago. I am glad the building will continue to serve folks in our area.
