The 2018 4-H Benefit Auction will be held at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 16 in the Show Tent at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Washington. The money raised by the auction is used to benefit almost 3,000 youth in 4-H sponsored programs throughout the year, such as leadership development activities, life-skill programs, regional and state educational competitions.

Some of the items to be auctioned off include tickets to the Union Grill restaurant, room at the Hilton Garden Hotel and Jackson’s Restaurant at Southpointe. There will also be store and restaurant certificates, livestock supplies, back-to-school supplies, gift baskets, lottery tree and more. Those wanting to donate items for the auction are asked to call the Penn State Cooperative Ext. office at 724-228-6881 or email Pam Paletta at plp3@psu.edu. The organization will pick up donated items and drop them off at the fair in time for the auction.
