CARROLL
Woman charged: Sarah Kristine Yocolano, 30, of 108 Maple Ave., Carroll Township, is charged by township police with simple assault and harassment over allegations she struck and scratched a 14-year-old boy about 1:50 p.m. July 30 in her home, court records show. She is free on $5,000 bond set last week by District Judge Mark Wilson.
DONORA
Assault alleged: Tanya Lynn Tarpley, 31, of 56 Kenric Ave., Donora, is charged by borough police with simple assault and criminal mischief, court records show. She is accused of shoving an aluminum baseball bat into the throat of Carrie Shiming during a dispute over a parking space about 9:30 a.m. June 12 outside of 62 Kenric Ave. Tarpley also is accused of using the bat to cause $1,000 in damages to Shiming’s vehicle. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the charges last week in a summons.
Drug arrest: Edward John Karol, 31, of 1301 Park Manor Drive, Monessen, is charged by borough police with three counts of drug possession, possession of a small amount of marijuana and tampering with evidence stemming from a traffic stop about 7:40 p.m. July 26 in the 500 block of Meldon Avenue, court records show. Police accuse him of having a Xanax bar, 35 doses of Alprazolam and an unknown pill at the time. District Judge Mark Wilson issued the case last week via summons.
MONESSEN
Drug arrest: Robert Ivan Nicholson, 37, of 99 Pennsylvania Boulevard, Monessen, is charged by city police with drug possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and public drunkenness, court records show. Police accuse Nicholson of having 14 stamp bags of heroin when an officer approached him walking near Tyrol and Grand boulevards about 7:50 p.m. July 30. Senior District Judge Herbert Mitchell Jr. issued the charges last week in a summons.
ROSTRAVER
Woman charged: Nikkia L. Jones, 41, of 320 Forest St., Monessen, is charged by Rostraver police with theft of leased property and receiving stolen property, court records show. Police accuse her of renting furniture in April and December 2017, from Prime Rentals, 691 Tyrol Boulevard. She allegedly quit making payments, leaving an unpaid balance of $981. Senior District Judge Herbert Mitchell Jr. issued the charges last week in a summons.
