South Fayette bounces back against Beaver

McDONALD — One week after having a 57-game regular-season wining streak snapped, South Fayette began another Friday night.

Jamie Diven threw three first quarter touchdowns during a 35-7 rout of Beaver in a Northwest 8 Conference game.

Diven had five touchdown passes before halftime, putting the Mercy Rule into affect for the televised game. Five different receivers caught TD passes. He finished with 10 of 13 completions for 180 yards and the five TDs. Eight different receivers had receptions with Mike Trimbur snagging four for 47 yards and a score. Andrew Franklin rushed for 67 yards on 13 carries.

Brody Culley returned an interception for a score for Beaver.
