Lorna Morrison, 75, of Alpharetta, Ga., passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018.
She was born June 18, 1943, in Washington, a daughter of the late Hilda and Paul Allison.
Lorna graduated from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in home economics. She worked as a high school home economics teacher in her early career. Later, she created her own business as an aerobics and physical fitness instructor.
She had a tremendous love of all animals and supported them in many ways. She also had a love of music and dance her entire life. She dreamed of being a professional dancer in her early years. She was also an avid tennis player and was a member of the ALTA tennis league for many years. She had an incredible wit about her and always made everyone laugh.
Lorna and her husband, John, were avid travelers and covered many miles in their motor home enjoying time with friends and family.
She is survived by her husband, John Morrison.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorna’s memory to the Atlanta Humane Society, 1565 Mansell Road, Alpharetta, GA 30009, or Capstone Hospice, 5672 Peachtree Parkway J, Norcross, GA 30092.
The Morrison family will receive friends from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Northside Chapel, Roswell, Ga., 770-645-1414. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, August, 16, 2018 at Northminster Presbyterian Church, Ga. Entombment will be held in Arlington Memorial Park, Washington D.C.
