James D. Kaczmark

James D. “Jobey” Kaczmark, 69, of Clarksville, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018, in his home.

He was born March 16, 1949, in Waynesburg, a son of William Burrie of Carmichaels and the late Sarah Jane Redman Kaczmark Burrie.

He was a 1969 graduate of Carmichaels Area High School, and earned an associate’s degree in mine engineering from Penn State Fayette.

On June 7, 1969, he married Donna Meyers Kaczmark, who survives.

Mr. Kaczmark was a Vietnam veteran and served as sergeant, SP5, in the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division. During his service, he received several awards including the Army Commendation Medal and Bronze Star and was named soldier of the month.

He had worked as a mine foreman at Shannopin Mine and Pitt Gas Mine and had also worked at Emerald Mine. He later worked as a federal mine inspector in the Morgantown, W.Va., and Waynesburg offices.

He was a member of American Legion and Beallsville Lodge No. 237 Free and Accepted Masons. He studied karate and earned a second degree black belt.

Jobey was a proud father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, and his dog, Nestle.

Surviving, in addition to his wife and father, are a daughter, Tiffani Ludrosky (Michael) of Rices Landing; two sons, Todd Kaczmark (Rebecca) of Washington, and Ryan Kaczmark (Courtney) of St. Thomas; seven grandchildren, Raylin, Madison and Michael Ludrosky, Ethan and Nora Kaczmark, and Alex and Macie Kaczmark; and sisters and brothers Connie Teagarden, Brenda Corcoran, Robert Burrie, Clyde Thomas Burrie, Alicia Burrie, Harry Burrie and Brad Burrie.

Deceased are a son, James David Kaczmark Jr., and two brothers, William “Butch” Burrie and Warren “Sammy” Burrie.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Behm Funeral Homes, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. August 6, with the Rev. J. Francis Frazer officiating. Burial will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township, with military honors by the U.S. Army and American Legion.
