CALIFORNIA
Theft arrest: Danielle Byrne, 39, of 869 California Drive, Coal Center, was arraigned Sunday before District Judge David Mark on a felony retail theft charge filed by California police after she allegedly stole items from Dollar General, 201 Wood St. She was released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.
CANONSBURG
Car stolen, recovered: Jayden Lockhart, 20, of Canonsburg, told police his mother’s Buick Lacrosse he uses as a delivery vehicle for Pizza Hut, Cavasina Drive, was stolen from the restaurant’s parking lot Friday. He told police he left the vehicle running because he knew he had another delivery to make, but was briefly delayed. When he went back outside the car was gone. Police were able to trace it through his cellphone to New Brighton, where it was found. The car had been involved in a hit-and-run in Bethel Park.
CHARLEROI
Boyfriend arrested: Jason Cordell Johnson, 38, of 612 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi, was arrested Saturday by Charleroi Regional police after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend during a confrontation. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of simple assault and harassment. He was released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.
DONORA
Charged in chase: Dennis Darnell Johnson, 57, of 458 Murray Ave., Donora, was arrested early Sunday by Donora police after allegedly leading officers on a chase that started at Weiss and Murray avenues. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of fleeing and eluding police, flight to avoid apprehension, resisting arrest, driving under the influence of alcohol and traffic violations. He was placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
Drug arrest: Joseph Estrada Gallagher, 20, of Irwin, was arrested Sunday night by Donora police on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, criminal use of a communications facility, possession of paraphernalia and equipment violations stemming from a traffic stop in the 600 block of Meldon Avenue. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 percentage bond.
NORTH STRABANE
Warrant arrest: Sylvia K. Trammell, 34, of Clairton, was arraigned Friday night before District Judge David Mark on a warrant obtained by North Strabane police charging her with persons not to possess a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license and having a prohibited offensive weapon after her husband was stopped earlier this month in the 400 block of Linden Road. Her husband, Nathaniel Jamar Trammell, 37, who was arrested on the same charges, was taken into custody on a fugitive warrant. Both are free from Washington County jail after posting bond.
SOUTH STRABANE
Fleeing charges: Jonathan Kenneth Amos, 35, of 4 Liberty St., Bentleyville, was charged by South Strabane police with fleeing or eluding police, reckless driving, careless driving and traffic violations after he allegedly fled from an officer during a traffic stop Friday. Police said they spotted him speeding on Manifold Road. Amos then allegedly cut off another vehicle at Manifold and Route 19 before continuing up Cameron. He then reportedly drove around traffic stopped at the stop sign on Cameron at East Beau Street. He stopped on East Beau near Eastpointe Drive. Charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Jay Weller.
WASHINGTON
Theft, drug arrest: Sarah L. Antal, 38, of 137 Kelly Ave., Belle Vernon, was arrested Sunday by Washington police on a felony charge of retail theft, possession of methadone and possession of paraphernalia after she allegedly stole items from Shop ‘n Save, 125 W. Beau St. She was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail on $10,000 bond.
Threats arrest: Elijah Gordon, 21, of 104 Linn Ave., Washington, was arrested Friday on a warrant obtained by Washington police charging him with terroristic threats stemming from an April 22 incident at 670 Addison St. He is accused of threatening to shoot his 21-year-old former girlfriend after she reportedly refused to give him her house keys. He was arraigned before District Judge Robert Redlinger and released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
Trespass charge: Theodore Frye, 61, of 605 Lagonda Road, Washington, will be charged by Washington police with criminal trespass after he allegedly went onto property at 525 Jefferson Ave. Sunday after he had been warned repeatedly to stay off of it.
Purse, money stolen: Emily Bigler of Hickory told Washington police Saturday her Michael Kors purse containing $50, a credit card and identification was stolen from her unlocked vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the 900 block of Fayette Street.
Harassment alleged: Lee Milliken, 41, of 1045 Catfish Ave., Washington, will be charged with harassment after he allegedly threw a chair at his girlfriend, hitting her during a confrontation at their home Saturday.
Bicycles stolen: Kim Kelley of North Franklin Street told Washington police Friday two Mongoose bicycles were stolen from her side porch. One bicycle was red and the other black. They belonged to her grandsons, she told police.
House burglarized: Ilya Gorokhovisky of Washington told Washington police Friday a house at 76 Seminole Ave. was burglarized. He found a door open, but it did not appear anything was stolen.
WEST BETHLEHEM
Shots fired at house: Robert Mitchel Murphy, 44, of 3 Hedge Ave., Marianna, was arrested Saturday night by state police after he allegedly fired shots into the home of his neighbors in West Bethlehem and threatened them. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on charges of discharging firearms into an occupied structure, terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment. He was placed in Washington County jail on $50,000 bond.
