Jean Faye Davies, 75, of Lawrence, died Friday, August 17, 2018.

She was born May 29, 1943, in Lawrence, a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Polochak Betarie.

Mrs. Davies was a member of Faith Chapel Community Church in Lawrence.

She enjoyed gardening, shopping, spending time at camp, and making charitable contributions to those in need. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson. Christmas was a special time, and she enjoyed celebrating Jesus’ birthday.

On January 25, 1964, she married her loving husband of over 54 years, James Davies, who survives.

Also surviving are her sons, James F. Davies of Lawrence, Steven J. (Tracy) Davies of Cecil; brother Jerry (Joann) Betarie of Carnegie; sisters Mary Ann Boyd of Florida, Dolores (Paul) Gudac of Canonsburg, Genevieve Wojcuich of Washington; grandson Stevie Davies; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, J. David Sollon, director, 724-746-1000, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, with the Rev. James O’Brien, officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
