The county’s tourism fall line-up kicks off with the 2018 Corks and Kegs Festival at The Meadows Casino Racetrack Hotel on Aug. 25-26. The weekend features regional and local craft beer and wine, plus live music, 20 food trucks, artisans and vendors.
”The Corks and Kegs Festival is a great way to toast the late summer and a wonderful time to welcome Washington County’s fall festival season,” said Jeff Kotula, president of the Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency. “In fact, fall is one of the best times to visit Washington County, with events such as the West Alexander Fair, Canonsburg Oktoberfest, Houston Pumpkin Festival and Hickory Apple Festival. It is also the perfect time to connect with the changing seasons by getting outdoors on our award-winning trails or, for a different view, from one of our beautiful waterways.”
September also highlights Washington and Greene counties’ rich history with the Washington and Greene Counties’ Covered Bridge Festival presented by EQT.
”It’s one of our signature events,” Kotula said. “We look forward to welcoming visitors to Corks and Kegs, as well as all this autumn season.”
