Jefferson United Methodist Church, Jefferson Road, will hold a roast pork dinner from 4 to 7 p.m Friday1. Menu includes scalloped potatoes, country-style green beans, candy carrots, pickled beets, applesauce, desserts, rolls and beverage. Takeout will be available. Cost is $12 for adults, $5 for children 12 and younger.
“Fun Night,” a new event at McDonald United Methodist Church, will take place at 6:30 p.m. Fridayat 232 East Lincoln Ave. This new form of entertainment, invented by a member of the church, will replace the traditional “Game Night.” The evening will begin with dinner followed by the entertainment, which will be kept secret. Guests will also play “Para-Bowla,” which consists of a 3-inch ring suspended by string fand launched from 20 feet away to swing in a parabola and land on a hook on the backboard.
Presbyterian Senior Care, 835 S. Main Street, Washington, will hold a fall vendor and craft show from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Sept. 21 and 22, in the chapel. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and auction. Proceeds go toward the employee Christmas party and the Benevolent Fund. Food will be available for purchase.
Claysville Christian Church will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22. Dinner includes spaghetti, salad, garlic toast, dessert and beverage. Cost is a donation. Takeout will be available.
