Ruth Louise Caldwell Fox, 103, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 2, 2018, in Washington Hospital.

She was born May 6, 1915, in Swarts, a daughter of Charles and Lida Crouse.

Mrs. Fox worked for W.T. Grant for 29 years and as a seamstress at Lang’s for 13 years.

She was a member of Washington Alliance Church.

On November 27, 1935, she married Frank Caldwell, who died December 19, 1972. On October 26, 1976, she married Franklin Fox, who died January 10, 1995.

Surviving are a son, Edward (Bonnie) Caldwell of Washington; a daughter, Wilma Jean Shrefler of Washington; three grandchildren, Shawn (Trish) Caldwell, Kimberly (Jason) Turko and Frank Zack; and three great-grandchildren, Avery, Evan and Alexia Caldwell.

At the request of the deceased, all services will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of Hummell & Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Ave., Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, director. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Washington Alliance Church and Gateway Hospice, 95 W. Beau St., Suite 510, Washington.
