Elizabeth Ann “Betsy” Robertson Dane, 64, of Washington, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018.
Betsy was born May 4, 1954, and was raised in Finleyville. She graduated from Ringold High School and continued on to receive a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Wheeling Jesuit University.
Betsy worked at the rape crisis center for several years before becoming a victim advocate in the Washington County district attorney’s office. She retired in 2016 and spent some time working with Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania (DVSSP). She enjoyed helping other people.
Betsy is survived by her husband of 44 years, Roger Dane and children Adam Dane and Sarah-Caitlin Dane. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to DVSSP at 308 East Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301, or to the crime victim memorial garden through Pam Tarr at 724-705-2209. Memorial services will be announced.
