CANONSBURG

Card accessed: Daniel Long of Canonsburg told borough police Wednesday his debit card information was accessed and used to make purchases at a local business and restaurant.

CECIL

Fugitive arrest: Darwin W. Seese, 44, of Farmington, Fayette County, was taken into custody Wednesday by Cecil police on a warrant issued by a judge in Garrett County, Md., on a bad check charge. He was arraigned before District Judge David Mark and placed in Washington County jail pending extradition to Maryland.

CHARTIERS

Comforter stolen: Cassidy Caporso of 539 Railroad St. told Chartiers police Wednesday a down comforter valued at $200 was stolen from under her porch.

HOUSTON

PFA arrest: Ryan Williams of Wexford was arraigned Wednesday before District Judge David Mark for allegedly violating a protection-from-abuse order filed by state police by contacting a woman at her Houston home several times Saturday. Mark set bond on Williams, who is in Washington County jail on other charges, at $5,000.

NORTH BELLE VERNON

Theft alleged: Jonathon Herman Nugara, 24, of 332 Market St., Belle Vernon, is charged by borough police with theft and receiving stolen property over allegations he stole a chainsaw worth $75 from Kevin Boyd about 3:10 p.m. Oct. 2 while it was in an open vehicle trunk in the 500 block of Grant Street, court records show. District Judge Charles Christner signed a warrant Tuesday for Nugara’s arrest.

ROBINSON

Teen charged: Austin Michael Shiel, 18, of 131 Bulger-Candor Road, Bulger, was charged this week by McDonald police with driving under the influence of alcohol, underage drinking, minor driving under the influence of alcohol and several traffic violations stemming from an Aug. 25 traffic stop on Robinson Highway, Robinson. Police said he was driving more than 70 mph in areas with 35 mph and 45 mph limits and weaving across the double-yellow line. Police said his blood-alcohol content was more than nine times the 0.02 percent limit for drivers younger than 21. The charges were sent by summons from the office of District Judge Traci McDonald.

ROSTRAVER

Man charged: Douglas Steven Downer, 39, of 1355 Maple Ave., Washington Township, is charged by Rostraver police with theft and retail theft, court records show. Police accuse Downer of stealing a generator worth $649 from Lowe’s Home Improvement, 200 Sara Way, about 4:45 p.m. Oct. 3 and then having an unidentified man sell it to a Charleroi pawn shop for $165. Senior District Judge Herbert Mitchell signed a warrant Wednesday for Downer’s arrest.

Theft alleged: Brandon Allen Veschio, 34, whose last known address was on Reeves Avenue in Monessen, is charged by township police with theft of leased property, court records show. Police accuse Veschio of renting televisions and video gaming items worth $2,789 from Aaron’s, 170 Sara Way, about 11:25 a.m. Aug. 16 and then selling the items to a pawn shop and friend. Senior District Judge Herbert Mitchell signed a warrant Wednesday for Veschio’s arrest.

WASHINGTON

Drug charges: Rachel Renee Phillips, 36, of 157 McAdam Ave., Washington, was charged Thursday by Washington County Drug Task Force with two counts of possession and possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of paraphernalia. She is accused of selling the drug to a confidential informant in February and again to an informant in April at locations in Washington. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
