Roger A. Hull

Roger A. Hull, 80, of Washington, formerly of Rutan, died Monday, October 29, 2018, in his home.

He was born June 1, 1938, in Greene County, a son of the late Lloyd E. and Ruth E. Murray Hull.

Mr. Hull attended Rich Hill Township High School.

He worked as a millworker for Findley Refractories, where he worked for over 30 years before his retirement.

Mr. Hull was a man who would help anyone in their time of need. In his free time, he enjoyed working outside and collecting toy antique cars.

He served in the U.S. Army.

On October 3, 1964, in Washington, he married the love of his life, Mabel Ford, who survives.

Also surviving are two sons, Roger A. (JoAnn) Hull Jr. of Washington and Robert P. (Maria) Hull of Waynesburg; daughter Melinda B. (Brian) Tanner of Waynesburg; three brothers, Melvin Hull of Rogersville, Kenneth Hull of Moundsville, W.Va., and Terry Hull of Waynesburg; sister Marilyn Carrol of Graysville; five grandchildren, Roger Hull III, Damian, Joseph and Cheyenne Hull, and Alison Tanner; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Deceased are three brothers, Gene and two others who died in infancy; and three sisters, Joanne, Nadine and Mary.

Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday in Piatt and Barnhill Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 2, with Pastor Eric Toohey and Pastor Don Russell officiating.
