Leonard Paul Withers, 69, of Pittsburgh’s North Side, passed away Friday, November 2, 2018.
He was born April 21, 1949. He was a son of the late George Withers and Margaret Laird. Leonard is survived by his loving wife, Betty Rose Withers; son Matthew Withers; dear sister Patricia Roach (Clarence); and many family members and friends.
Leonard enjoyed spending time with his family in any capacity he could. He was a retired school bus driver for Burgettstown Area School District. He loved to play football, fish and hunt. He collected numerous records and enjoyed listening to music. Volunteering was one of many things he did for his son Matthew’s football team. During his free time, his hobbies included being part of bowling and dart leagues.
A military service will be held for family and friends at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 14, in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Cancer Society.
