Truck strikes power lines, funeral home in Rogersville
A piece of heavy equipment that broke loose from a tractor trailer damaged Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home and knocked out power to as many as 100 West Penn Power customers in Rogersville, Greene County, after 4 p.m. Thursday.
The tractor trailer reportedly was attempting to turn off Route 21 in front of the funeral home when the dump truck dislodged and struck the front of the business, knocking down an awning and several wires.
Greene County 911 said no one was injured in the incident.
State police in Greene County are investigating the accident.
Center Township Volunteer Fire Company responded and helped re-direct traffic, which backed up on Route 21.
West Penn Power estimated power would be restored around midnight today.
