South Fayette rolls on

McDONALD — Andrew Franklin ran for 159 yards on just 9 carries and scored a touchdown to pace No. 2-seed South Fayette to a 42-6 victory over Greensburg Salem in a WPIAL Class 4A first-round playoff game.

Jamie Diven threw three touchdowns passes and ran for another for the Lions (11-1). Ryan Kokoski caught two passes for 10 yards, both 5-yard TDs. Diven completed 8 of 14 passes for 63 yards and six runners amassed 224 yards.

Kokoski sparked the defense with a 55-yard interception return. Linebacker Joe Mowod had a team-high 8 tackles and defensive end Ben Coyne two QB sacks.

Greensburg Salem finished the season with a 4-7 record.
