BENTLEYVILLE – A man whose address was not immediately known is wanted by Bentleyville police on charges he delivered a “death threat” to a district court employee over unpaid fines that led to the suspension of his driver’s license.

Bentleyville police have charged Kevin Alan Nakutis, 28, with making terroristic threats over comments he made to a clerk over the phone that alarmed her, court records show.

Police also charged Nakutis, who has had addresses in Brownsville and Carmichaels, with harassment and disorderly conduct.

The employee told police Nakutis called her office about 8:45 a.m. Nov. 1 to inquire about what he owed the court for traffic violations to have his license suspension lifted, the affidavit states.

Nakutis said “in a fit of rage,” that if he lost his license because of her, “he will bury her,” police stated in the the record.

He owes $489 in fines and fees for traffic tickets he received in Washington County in August 2009, online court records show.

District Judge Curtis Thompson signed a warrant Friday for Nakutis’ arrest in the case.
