Two crashes: State police were called about 6 a.m. Friday to two crashes on Interstate 70, one in the eastbound lane and the other in the westbound lane about two miles east of the West Alexander exit. In the first, an unidentified driver slid off the highway and came to rest in a ditch on the eastbound side. The driver will be cited for an equipment violation because all four tires were bald. In the other, Victor Cunningham, 39, of Marianna, hit an object in the westbound lane, causing his tire to blow out. He then spun into a guardrail. He was not injured.
