MONESSEN – A Monessen woman is wanted in charges she stabbed her husband during an argument in their home early Saturday.

District Judge Mark J. Bilik signed a warrant that day for the arrest of Nadine Jessica Tyree, 46, on charges she caused a deep puncture wound with a kitchen knife to the shoulder of James Russell Tyree, court records show.

Police learned about the stabbing after being called to Mon Valley Hospital at 4:15 a.m. to investigate the injury.

James Tyree told an officer that he was asleep about 3:25 a.m. when his wife returned home under the influence of alcohol, and she woke him up to argue about “random topics,” the affidavit states.

He said he decided to leave after his wife brought up an unpleasant incident.

He said he thought his wife had punched him in the upper left shoulder as he was walking through a hallway. He then realized that she had stabbed him, court records indicate.

James Tyree also told an officer that he sliced his right hand pulling the knife out of his shoulder and then drove himself to the hospital, the record shows.

The hospital treated him for a stab wound that struck an artery, police said.

Nadine Tyree, of 1132 Reservoir Ave., is wanted on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment.
