The Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Carmichaels Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. This will be the club’s annual Christmas party. Entertainment will be provided by local musician, Bob Podish. All members are reminded to bring a covered dish to this event, as well as family members and friends. Items will be collected for the Hugs and Kisses program, toiletries for the Domestic Violence Center, and snacks and socks for care packages for the military. New members are welcome.

The Waynesburg University Music Program will continue its annual tradition of hosting TUBACHRISTMAS at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, in the Goodwin Performing Arts Center. TUBACHRISTMAS is a national concert series which was started in 1974 by the distinguished tuba player Harvey Phillips. This year marks the 45th anniversary for TUBACHRISMAS.
