CALIFORNIA
Arrest in assault: Bria Renee Watkins, 26, of Uniontown, was arrested early Sunday by California police with aggravated assault, fleeing or attempting to elude police, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, simple assault and driving under the influence of alcohol stemming from a traffic stop on the Toll 43 ramp at Malden Road. Police said she drove off while the officer held on to the vehicle until she increased her speed. The officer then pursued her in his vehicle. She was eventually stopped on Second Street and taken into custody. She was taken to Monongahela Valley Hospital where blood was drawn. Watkins was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond.
CANTON
Two arrested: Kimberly Ann Nixon, 30, of 156 Rose Ave., Canton, and Joseph Lawrence Piatt, 28, of 1965 N. Main St., Washington, were arrested Saturday by state police after a confrontation outside Nixon’s home. Both were charged with simple assault and harassment. Nixon is also charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. Both were arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and released from Washington County jail after posting a $5,000 percentage bond.
CECIL
DUI charge: Alfonso Nunez, 25, whose last known address was Royse City, Texas, was arrested Friday night by Cecil police after he was found behind the wheel of his stopped vehicle in the middle of Burnside Road near Route 980. He was first spotted by an officer responding to a domestic. His blood alcohol level was more than double the 0.08 limit presumed for intoxication. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and released from Washington County jail after posting $1,000 bond.
CHARTIERS
Gun, money stolen: Stephen Moss, 103 Wide St., told Chartiers police Monday a gun and money were stolen from his home.
Yard damaged: Brian Palfreyman, 1 Short Ave., told Chartiers police Sunday a vehicle has driven through his yard four times in recent days.
Ring stolen: Marianne Ciccolella of Sulky Manor Lane told Chartiers police Saturday her diamond ring was stolen from her home.
FALLOWFIELD
False identification: Edward Leon Boone, 35, who state police said is homeless, was arrested Saturday night by state police after he was found sitting in his vehicle with the flashers on near the Toll 43 exit of Interstate 70 east, Fallowfield. Police said he gave them a different name. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson on charges of identity theft, false identification to police and traffic violations. He was placed in Washington County jail on a $1,500 percentage bond.
NORTH CHARLEROI
Theft arrest: Glenda Diane Brown, 63, of 574 Sixth St., North Charleroi, was arrested by Charleroi Regional police Friday on a felony charge of retail after she allegedly stole an item from the Rite Aid, Fifth Street, North Charleroi. She was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and released on $5,000 unsecured bond.
NORTH STRABANE
Charged in crash: Jared Daniel Loughman, 23, of 118 Baltimore Ave., Washington, was arraigned Saturday before District Judge Curtis Thompson on a charge of driving under the influence of a controlled substance filed by North Strabane police stemming from a Jan. 1 crash on Racetrack Road at Meadowlands Boulevard. He was released from Washington County jail after posting $5,000 bond.
WASHINGTON
Threats alleged: Joshua Bradley Hess, 23, of 625 N. Main St., Washington, was arrested Sunday by Washington police after he allegedly threatened other residents of his apartment with a gun. When police took him into custody, he reportedly had three guns as well as knives. He was arraigned before District Judge Curtis Thompson and placed in Washington County jail on $35,000 bond.
Driver to be charged: Kristin Crawford, 42, of 345 Clark Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with DUI and having an open container of beer after she was found Sunday unconscious at the wheel of her vehicle while it was stopped near the tennis courts at Washington Park. The charges will be sent by summons from the office of District Judge Robert Redlinger.
Wallet stolen: Colleen Watt of Fayette Street told Washington police Friday her wallet was stolen and four purchases were made using her debit card.
Account hacked: William Miller of Washington told Washington police Friday his debit card information was accessed and used to make purchases.
Harassment alleged: Julia Moore, 27, of 447 Extension Ave., Washington, will be charged by Washington police with harassment after she allegedly got into a confrontation Saturday with a 31-year-old woman at their home.
iPhone damaged: Kristine Hitchins of Washington told Washington police Sunday a Bentleyville man damaged her iPhone while they were at 99 Jefferson Ave. Charges are pending.
Equipment stolen: A Burgettstown man doing work at the BP station, Jefferson Avenue, told Washington police Sunday a chop saw was stolen from his truck.
Door damaged: Alicia Bostic, 996 Jefferson Ave., told Washington police Saturday a door at her residence was kicked in.
Tires slashed: Bayleigh Smalley of Washington told Washington police Saturday the tires on the passenger side of her vehicle were slashed when she was parked in the 300 block of Terrace Avenue.
Money stolen: Nancy Gratz of Washington told police Saturday she mistakenly left her wallet at Shop ‘n Save, West Beau Street. Another customer reportedly picked it up. It was returned to her, but she told police she was missing $500 to $600.
