NORTH BETHLEHEM

One injured: Merrie Christ Columbia, 27, of Bentleyville, was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash in front of 1918 East National Pike, North Bethlehem. State police said her vehicle went off the road and hit a tree in the front yard. She had to be freed from the wreckage. Columbia was taken to Washington Hospital and then transferred to UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh. Assisting at the scene were Cokeburg, Lone Pine and Richeyville firefighters and Bearcat EMS.

SOMERSET

Charge filed: Michael Montgomery, 35, of Washington, was charged this week with theft by state police after he allegedly stole keys from Smitty’s Auto, 2 Avalon Circle, sometime in September or October. He then stole a vehicle. The charge was filed at the office of District Judge Curtis Thompson.
