Donations, volunteers needed for gift drive
Washington County Children and Youth Services is collecting new gifts for children and teens ages 0-18 years. Donations of new, unwrapped gifts are being collected for the Helping Hands Gift Drive. Gift tags with items from a child’s wish list can be provided to those wishing to donate, or donors can bring their gifts to the Washington County Fairgrounds on Dec. 10. Wrapping paper, gift bags of all sizes, bows and tissue paper are also needed, and can be dropped off at Children and Youth Services before Dec. 7. For information, call 724-228-6884.
Gift wrapping volunteers are needed for the Helping Hands Gift Drive. The week of Dec. 11, volunteers will sort and wrap gifts for children and teens at the Washington County Fairgrounds Building 4. Volunteers are needed on the following dates: Dec. 10, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Dec. 11, 12 and 13, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Dec. 14, 9 a.m. to noon. Those interested in volunteering are asked to call Kate Grant at 724-250-4154 and leave a message with name, contact information, and the date and time you’d like to volunteer. Drop-ins will be welcome.
