National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville, will host a Wreaths Across America wreath-laying ceremony at noon on Saturday, Dec. 15. Coordinated and led by Civil Air Patrol, the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies has raised funds to place 12,975 wreaths on the headstones of fallen service members. Since there are approximately 11,100 veteran graves at the cemetery, the extra wreaths will be sent to another National Cemetery to cover more graves of honored heroes. This annual event seeks to further the Wreaths Across America mission of Remember, Honor, Teach, ensuring that the memory of those who served our country endures.
