Bentleyville twins deliver milestone at Jefferson Hospital
Arianna and Skylar Williams entered the world in distinctive fashion: establishing a milestone.
When the twin girls from Bentleyville arrived the evening of Dec. 19, they were the 1,000th and 1,001st babies born at Jefferson Hospital in 2018. That was the first time the facility topped 1,000 births in a year since its Women and Infants Center opened in November 2014.
David Logan, director of obstetrics at Jefferson Hospital, delivered the girls – the 10th set of twins born there this year. Arianna became No. 1,000, followed by Skylar. Kaitlyn Bradley and her boyfriend, Cam, are the parents, whose family now numbers six. The couple also has a daughter, Jordin, 9, and a son, Cameron, 4.
“Two happy, healthy girls, plus their older siblings. That’s all we could ask for right before Christmas,” the father said.
Jefferson Hospital, part of Allegheny Health Network, has delivered more than 3,700 babies since the Women and Infants Center launched four years ago.
A true animal friend
Bonnie Loya and her family have seven horses, seven cats and five dogs and actively rescue pets. They are friends of animals.
So it isn’t a surprise Loya has volunteered with Animal Friends for six years, serving on its development committee and coordinating fundraisers. The South Franklin Township resident was named recently to the organization’s 2019 board of directors.
Loya is a real estate agent with Coldwell Banker Real Estate Services. She is an associate broker and sales associate affiliated with the Peters Township office.
Animal Friends, which has been in existence since 1943, has served thousands of homeless pets at its 75-acre campus in Ohio Township.
