Norman L. Krenn
Norman L. “Norm” Krenn, 83, of McDonald, went home to God, Tuesday, December 11, 2018.
He was born March 1, 1935, in Tyre, Santiago, a son of the late John and Anna Mary Allinder Krenn.
Mr. Krenn was a graduate of McDonald High School.
He worked at Lefty’s gas station in McDonald. Following that, he went to work at J&L Steel in Aliquippa, where he retired after 30 years. He also was employed at Calvary Presbyterian Church, which became McDonald Presbyterian Church, as a janitor for over 40 years. He most recently worked for Nation Funeral Home, where he had been employed for over 40 years.
Mr. Krenn was a member of McDonald Presbyterian Church.
On October 21, 1961, he married Shirl Jean Boynes, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Terri Lynn (Duane) Cole of Lebanon and Carla Ann (Craig) Prevade of McDonald; six grandchildren, Corey and Calie Prevade, Zeke (Amanda) Cole, Abbi (Olivia) Misner, Delaney and Jake Cole; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Donald and Mary Ann Boynes Jr. of Edgewater, Fla., and Isabelle Krenn of McDonald.
Deceased are two brothers, John D. and Samuel T. Krenn.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in Nation Funeral Home Inc., 220 East Lincoln Avenue, McDonald. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 15, in McDonald Presbyterian Church, 119 Station Street, McDonald. Interment will follow in Robinson Run Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to McDonald Presbyterian Church.
The staff of Washington Hospital and the Donnell House provided him with excellent care and support.
