Elizabeth Pryor
Elizabeth “Liz” Pryor, 83, of Washington, died peacefully Monday, December 17, 2018, in Southmont of Presbyterian Senior Care.
She was born April 11, 1935, in Canonsburg, a daughter of the late Charles and Julia Kovacs Lenart.
Mrs. Pryor was a 1953 graduate of Chartiers High School and was a member of Laboratory Presbyterian Church. She was employed as a teller at PNC Bank for 35 years, from where she retired. Following her retirement, she worked part time at Special Occasions.
Mrs. Pryor was a former member of the South Strabane Fire Department women’s auxiliary. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her and she enjoyed her trips to Iowa and Wisconsin, where she was able to spend time with them. She was a kind and gentle woman and will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
On November 22, 1956, she married Charles George Pryor, who died October 28, 2004.
Surviving are a son, Ron (Joanne) Pryor of Bettendorf, Iowa; sister, Margaret Lenart of Washington; two granddaughters, Jessica (Connor) McGee and Caitlin (Jared) Dammann, both of Wisconsin; three great-grandchildren, Owen McGee, Finn McGee and Ava Dammann; sister-in-law, Janice Lenart of Washington; brother and sister-in-law, Duane and Patty Pryor of Washington; brother and sister-in-law, Olan and Loretta Pryor of Colorado; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, deceased are two brothers, Charles and Robert Lenart and a sister-in-law, Patty Lenart.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 28, in the funeral home.
