George F. Presock

George F. “Bud” Presock, 76, of Greensboro, passed away Wednesday, December 5, 2018, in his home with his loving family at his side, following a lengthy illness.

Born August 26, 1942, in Lone Pine, he was a son of the late George H. and Anna Hluszti Presock.

A U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam conflict, he was a skilled heavy equipment mechanic and worked for several union construction companies over the years.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Marsha Clayton Presock; four children, George (Shannon) Presock of Greensboro, Patricia C. Presock of Waynesburg, Joseph (Tina) Presock and Kathryn Moore, both of Greensboro; his companion and best friend, Carrie Moore of Greensboro; sister Patricia A. Presock of Greensboro; and nephew Christopher (Amanda) Ruane of Sarver.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Teddy Gibbs, Michael (Amanda) Gibbs, Richard (Rebecca) Presock, Anthony Presock and Joey Presock; and great-grandchildren Allie, Delilah and Roman Presock, Ethan and Gracelyn Gibbs, King Solomon Nang and Rylee Martin.

Deceased is a sister, Kathryn Pearl Presock.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and until 11 a.m., the hour of service, Monday, December 10, in Richard R. Herod Funeral Home, Point Marion, with Pastor Mike Brown officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Garards Fort Cemetery.
