Ruth D. Hennick, 93, of Washington, died Monday, December 3, 2018, in Transitions Healthcare, South Strabane Township.

She was born November 22, 1925, in Washington, a daughter of Hysee and Madeline Miller Day.

Mrs. Hennick was a homemaker who enjoyed working outside, especially mowing the grass and maintaining the flower beds.

She was a former member of Bethel Presbyterian Church, Prosperity.

On June 6, 1957, she married Harry J. Hennick, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Daryl Hennick of Washington; a daughter, Bonnie Horency (Edward) of Washington; a sister, Norma Jean Houston of Washington; two grandchildren, Eric Horency (Tayler Wentz) and April Horency; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a sister, Joyce Duvall; a brother, William Day; and a niece, Beverly Caldwell.

Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Friday, December 7, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with Pastor George Crawford officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
