Beatrice Geraldine Brooks
Beatrice Geraldine Brooks, 87, of Washington, died Sunday, January 13, 2019, in her home.
She was born June 15, 1931, in West Finley, a daughter of John Franklin Livingood and Ella Ealy Livingood.
Mrs. Brooks attended West Alexander High School and worked at Continental Can.
An excellent cook, she loved the outdoors and animals, and enjoyed playing bingo and making ceramics.
Mrs. Brooks was a member of First Baptist Church, Washington, and Alpine Bowling Club.
On December 17, 1952, she married Edward Winfield Brooks, who survives.
Also surviving is a son, Edward G. Brooks of Washington.
Deceased are brothers Franklin, John and Harold Livingood and sisters Lucille Mansfield and Mary Margaret Church.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 19, with the Rev. Steven Dunlap officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
