Assault charge: Jason Scott Halbert, 37, of Morgantown, W.Va., was charged by Cumberland Township police with simple assault, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and harassment following an incident Jan. 24 at a residence in the 100 block of Park View Knoll. Police said Halbert argued with a woman at the residence about 10:30 p.m. before punching her in the eye. Police said they arrested Halbert at the corner of Ceylon Road and state Route 21, where they found him to be in possession of methamphetamine and several items of drug paraphernalia. Police said Halbert had at least 17 bench warrants.

Indecent exposure charge: Demitrius Lamont Davis, 40, of 520 Fifth St., Mather, was charged by state police with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness after a Jan. 5 incident at the Golden Dragon Restaurant, 989 N. Eighty-Eight Road. Police said Davis allegedly was dancing around the parking lot that afternoon and “acting strangely,” so the restaurant owner shut and locked the door. Police said when Davis tried without success to get inside the restaurant, he pulled his pants down, exposing himself, before fleeing. Police said Davis had a warrant for his arrest.
