I was appalled by the poor choices available to voters in the last presidential election, but now things are even worse. Our nation has two people in their 70s behaving like spoiled brats. Too bad somebody can’t turn each of them over a knee, administer a sound spanking and send them to bed without supper.

What we need are party leaders on both sides who know how to behave like adults, people who can behave civilly toward one another with whom they can disagree and rise above their anger without responding to brat-like foolishness with more of the same. Maybe the folks who half-seriously proposed moving to Canada after the election had somewhat of a point after all.
