Archer shines, Pirates down Orioles

Chris Archer pitched two scoreless innings and struck out four in his spring debut as the Pirates beat the Orioles 10-4.
Pittsburgh was powered by a five-run fifth inning. JB Shuck’s solo home run was followed by an RBI single from Melky Cabrera and a three-run homer from Josh Bell.
Kevin Kramer also homered for the Pirates, who improve to 5-5. Steven Brault earned the win despite allowing five hits and two runs over three innings.
Third-base prospect Ke’Bryan Hayes hit went 1-for-2 with an RBI triple in the ninth inning to improve his average this spring to .429.
