Washington bar fight produces two drug arrests
A fight Wednesday night at a bar in Washington produced two unrelated drug arrests.
City police charged Jaison Johnson, 35, of Pittsburgh, with possessing a large bag of crack with intent to deliver after being summoned about 9:10 p.m. to 50 Yard Line, 105 Henderson Ave., court records indicate.
Matthew Samy Abdelhak, 32, of Oakdale, was arrested on charges of resisting arrest and illegally possessing two suboxone strips after police found him sitting in his vehicle, the records allege.
Police were called to the bar to investigate a fight. Police said the victim told them he was assaulted by two unknown men. Police said the victim was injured, but he walked off and didn’t cooperate with the officers.
Johnson went into the restroom when police walked into the bar, prompting an officer to check its garbage can, where the crack was discovered along with a digital scale, police said. Johnson also is charged with drug possession, marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was placed in Washington County jail on $25,000 bond set by District Judge Ethan Ward.
Meanwhile, Abdelhak attempted to headbutt an officer during a struggle to get him out of his vehicle, the affidavit alleges.
Abdelhak also is charged with marijuana possession and disorderly conduct.
Ward jailed him on $10,000 bond.
