Donora man accused in knife assault
DONORA – A Donora man is accused of holding a knife to the throat of a woman late Wednesday during a disturbance on Allen Avenue.
The domestic disturbance led borough police to charge Michael A. Rosario, 34, of 425 Kenneth St., with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, court records show.
Police accuse Rosario of holding a knife to the throat of Ravyn Therrell about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday outside of 226 Allen Ave.
Police said there was a red line across her neck that was consistent with a knife injury. The weapon was found on the porch of 226 Allen, police said.
Therrell told police she went inside the house to get away from Rosario after the two were yelling at each other in the street, where the alleged assault took place, the affidavit indicates. She also said she thought she was going to die when the knife was held against her throat.
Rosario is free on $15,000 bond set by District Judge Traci L. McDonald Kemp.
