LETTER: Plow operators need to obey rules of road
Do snowplow drivers not have to obey traffic regulations?
A few storms ago, I had to slam on my brakes to avoid a snowplow at the corner of Fernwood and Oak Hill drives when the snowplow went through the stop sign at about 25 miles per hour. More recently, my neighbor was run off the road when a snowplow driver blew through the stop sign at Oak Hill and Park drives.
I know that plow operators have a tough job, and they only have a certain amount of time to clear the roads. But wouldn’t it take less time to stop at a stop sign than to clean up after an accident or fight a lawsuit against South Strabane Township?
